check out a lake of shallow water that has visible Lilly pads and tree branches or tree stumps .cast near these areas with minnows ,and enjoy fishing.

The Fall Trout Fishing Package includes your choice of a full-day, three-quarter day, or half-day of guide service, overnight lodging for two, a selection of locally tied Washington County flies and a commemorative Batten kill fly box , a local bottle of Slyboro Hard Cider and a locally-sourced picnic lunch for two.
The Beginner’s Trout Fishing Package includes instruction on the art of fly fishing covering basics like casting, mending, and line control, reading the water, rigging techniques and presentation, matching the hatch for stream entomology and water conditions, finding fish, ethical catch and release and stream ethics and etiquette. The package also includes overnight lodging for two, a selection of locally tied Washington County flies and a commemorative Batten kill fly box and a locally-sourced bottle of hard cider and picnic lunch.
The Women’s Trout Fishing Weekend Package September 30-October 2 includes one and a half days of instruction on the art of fly fishing, both in lectures and outdoors. Topics covered include casting, mending, and line control, reading the water, rigging techniques and presentation, matching the hatch for stream entomology and water conditions, finding fish, ethical catch and release and stream ethics and etiquette. Video will also be used to analyze participant’s casting technique. The package also includes overnight lodging for two, a selection of locally tied Washington County flies and a commemorative Battenkill fly box and a locally-sourced bottle of hard cider and picnic lunch.

Spoon fishing on Lake Fork with light line in open water. I fought a 9.5 pound bass that was hooked in the tail for over 6 minutes on 10 lb LFT FH line and a Dobyns Savvy 702 spinning rod. It was the best and longest fight I have ever has with a big bass ever.
